The Tourney Grounds stand just outside of the walls of Oldtown. There is a raised platform of several levels for noble viewers, with space for comfortable chairs and little tables to be set in place, and tall posts for canopies to be hung to keep the sun off. Not far stands the great board where the lists are kept. On the far side of the grounds rough tiered benches are available for the smallfolk, and past them there's a flat field for the knights to erect their pavilions in the grass.

The long log rail for the jousts stands right before the Lords' and Ladies' platform, with the space for the melee just beyond it. The archery butts are mounded at the Southwest edge of the grounds, where a great meadow of purple-red fireweed spreads off into the distance. The rough little narrow road to Blackcrown cuts through it.

It is the second day of the Dragons' Tourney, the lists have been torn down, hoof churned field has been leveled, and a Septon and Septa from the Starry Sept have blessed this newly levelled field. Though scarcely an hour past dawn, one hundred and fifty knights, squires, sellswords, and freeriders have taken the field in hopes of winning a large purse and renown; nearly half again the number of men, with the odd maid, who entered their names in the lists, for the joust. From the Royal box, a herald in sable and crimson, reads from a sheet of vellum. "Each man, will be permitted one remount, if he should fall a second time, he must quite the field."

The herald gestures to his squire, a sword pennant descends and the melee begins, in earnest.

Day two and once against Tironos returns to the field for the Grand Melee. Dressed in dull gray, full plate, his great helm sitting beside him by his tent, his cuirass breaking up the color scheme as it is lacquered green with a red striding huntsman centered on the breastplate. His unadorned shield is by his side as well, though his weapons are stored away in the tent itself, out of sight of the competition.

Kaspar Royce sits at the edge of the field, attended by his squire Burton Redfort and his page young Ernarr Grafton. The Vale knight's armor is a bit dented from his tilts with Ser Fulk and Arrick Gargalen, but elsewise, he looks refreshed. A tourney blade and shield in hand, he moves to the edge of the field.

Wearing full plate that is a bit more shining and stylish than some others, Ser Ludvik Lannister takes to the field with the visor of his helm open for now. No shield with the Lannister, who has a greatsword at his side, as he looks out from his pavilion, taking a few moments to look around, before he moves out there as well, coming to a stop not too far away from the Royce now. "A fine day for a melee," he remarks.

Rosana arrives early dressed in hard leather of deepest black. Her whole crew is with her and take places in the common area to watch the fight. The Captain though is here to fight and her blades are hanging from the blood red sash she wears as a belt. A young boy with sandy hair and freckles follows her looking excited. "Cap'n does this make me your squire?" Rosana laughs softly. "No, that would make me a knight which I'm not. Knights fight for their honor which is downright silly in my opinion. I have always wanted to test my skills against them though. She sends the boy off and steps onto the field drawing her twin blades in a quick flash of steel and sizing up the competition.

A mystery Knight enters the field of combat: He is a rather plain looking fellow as far as armor goes. A black brigandine with mail under is this unknown warrior's harness. A close eye may notice the Knight's sword pommel which is silver, and in the shape of a Bear's head.

Malcolm returns for the second day of the tourney. His armour is of simple and slightly out of date style suggesting a previous owner. It is in good shape and well fitted, however. As yesterday, he has a servant, not a squire to help him. Before heading to the melee, he picks an apple cheeked old grandmother and politely asks her for a favour, which he takes with full courtesies to tie around his arm.

In a darkened suit of maile-and-plate, another participant readies himself for today's fray. His armor is not overly stylized in terms of ornament (beyond color finish) but is clearly well-made for what it is. He fights under the banner of House Blackwood's Weirwood-and-ravens. No troublesome steeds this time, this is two feet on the ground, steel in hand. He smiles beneath his helmet's cheek guards for precisely no reason.

Tironos calls for his longsword as his male servant, not a squire brings it out and the six foot eight knight takes it and has his shield secured before entering the field. Which brings him up against Rosana of all people. Offering a respectful nod and securing his great helm the giant of a man takes up his stance and waits for the chaos to start. Though his round shield is proportioned to his height, it looks like his long sword is typical length, which means Rosana isn't facing off against a massive sword, however it also likely means Tironos can use it easier one-handed as well.

Raising an eyebrow a bit lightly as he spots Rosana, Ludvik offers the woman a grin, before he lowers his visor. Looking around for a lightly target, he ends up against Malcolm, offering the man a brief nod, before moving in for a slash at the man's chest. Trusting his own plate to turn away incoming hits now.

Rosana eyes the giant in front of her with a smirk. She inclines her head to him and looks him over sizing him up for any weakness. The crew men she brought are all watching her and cheering out encouragement. She is completely focused on what’s around her though. The field and her soon to be opponent. As soon as the event's start is signaled she will spring forward to attack swinging her blades toward Tironos in a graceful arc. She lands a hit on his right arm but the armor he wears keeps the hit from doing any real harm. Still she doesn't relent continuing to press her attack.

The Vale lord narrowly manages to duck a blow from a wicked bastard sword and promptly issues a riposte. Though, the knight's rejoinder results in not but a click of steel upon steel.

<COMBAT> Rosana will attack Tironos this turn.

Tironos takes note of Riderch approaching with weapons drawn as well and shifts to a more wary stance as attacks come at him, fortunately his armor is well made and takes the blows. He takes a swing as Rosana, though he misses completely, perhaps due to the blows coming at him from multiple fronts, or he just isn't that good.

<COMBAT> Tironos will attack Riderch this turn.

Trust in the Gods — Seven is an auspicious number here, and the auspice of this is probably slightly lost on Riderch. It's older Gods here who guide his hand and he is without an opponent for the moment. Turning on his foot with steel drawn, his own blade is brought through the air and finds its first capricious target — Tironos Tarly. It's a quick strike, but lacking in enough power to really do more than 'clang' on the man's armor.

The Mystery Knight in the black brigandine draws the Bear pommeled sword from his sheath, and the ripples that indicate a good Valyrian Steel sword are exposed for all to see. He strides forward at the call to begin, and swings his sword at the first man he meets on the field, Kaspar. The blade misses, but unfortunately for the Mystery Knight a shot is taken to the chest. Luckily, the black brigandine stops the blade.

<COMBAT> Everyone has posed.

Malcolm had been eyeing Riderch with intent, but seeing Ludvik's nod, he nods back, and takes up his stance. He swings, but it glances off the other man's breastplate.

Malcolm is knocked back had by the great sword's first swing and the second blow knocks his arm wild, missing the other man entirely.

Rosana strikes again the armor Tironos wears stopping her once again. Still she keeps at it attacking once more and changing her stance to something more aggressive now.

Tironos takes another set of hits, but his armor keeps him unharmed, though its taking scratches and the lacquering is flecking off with cuts. His own attack misses completely once more as he shifts his attack to Riderch, he maintains a wary stance, but as he is the only one currently fighting two at the same time, this could be why he's now landing any blows.

<COMBAT> Ludvik has changed stance to cautious.

The Valyrian blade went snicker-snack! The vale knight stares at the rent in his ancient bronze armor and the blood welling up from a shallow wound. His foe only struck him a quick blow, but the wound is unseemly deep. His strike is deflected by the bear-helmed knight's shield. Undaunted, Kaspar circles to the left of the Mystery knight, in an effort to come in at him from the left shoulder. His sword rises and descends in a vicious chopping blow at his left pauldron.

Managing to get a hit in against the Stormlander, Ludvik moves back a bit, to be a bit more cautious now as he prepares for his next attack now.

Again, good steel in Riderch's hand strikes swift and true as he now more honestly exchanges blows with the Tarly knight. His eyes narrow in concentration and sheer urgency. And again, his sword rings off the man's armor more or less harmlessly. He keeps his almost archaic round shield bearing a defiant flight of black-on-red ravens squared tight against his form between these quick strikes.

<COMBAT> Riderch has changed stance to banzai.
<COMBAT> Everyone has posed.

The Mystery Knight speaks. His voice is flat and monotone, and yet he sounds more like a boy than a man. "Bronze armor? Really?" And then he lashes out with his sword, and strikes the Vale Knight's left arm. The Mystery Knight turns quickly, his mail jingling at the movement, when Kaspar aims at his pardon in order to move out of Kaspar's sword's path.

Tironos takes another series of strikes, it would seem he's a tall tank in that armor, as he adjusts to whirl about to strike at Rosana's hand, but instead catches her in the chest, dealing a respectable wound. Though with one of his two opponents now injured, will he focus his attack on her or try to balance things with Riderch?

Given he is getting roundly thrashed by Ludvik, Ser Malcolm tries a bolder strategy and still finds his sword slash deflected as the Great sword knocks him back again.

Rosana swings her left handed blade upward aiming a vicious strike at Tironos neck. The armor once again renders her strike ineffective. This also leaves her open to take a hit to her chest which has her staggering back. There is a cut in her leather now just below her breasts and a bleeding gash there as well. She snarls and dodges to one side circling before charging back into the fray once more her dark eyes narrowed in determination. She aims a quick and vicious strike at the knight not slowing down despite the injury or the tear in her armor.

<COMBAT> Rosana will attack Tironos this turn.
<COMBAT> Malcolm will attack Ludvik this turn. Options: called=Head

Managing to get the hit to Malcolm again, Ludvik grimaces behind his visor as the other man's attack hits his hand. Flexing the fingers a bit before he moves in for another attack now, not paying too much attention to anything but his current opponent.

The Vale lord's sword, a beautiful blade etched with the runes of the First Men, plays her knight false. The sword clangs upon the Mystery Knight's left pauldron. The bear-headed knight moves toward the vale lord, utterly unphased. His blade comes whistling toward the Vale Lord's helm. Kaspar ducks and turns, but the wicked Valyrian blades collides with Kaspar's gorget. Shorn bronze falls to the foot churned grass. His ancestor’s runes bisected on an even plane. Blood sprays from the knight's throat. Kaspar Royce falls to his knees. Then, it is as though the Dark Other animates his bloody body. A mailed fist clutches his throat, quelling the blood. The Vale knight rises and slashes at the Mystery Knight, a wild mad blow.
Huh? (Type "help" for help.)

His teeth grit in frustration, Riderch just spits out a curse. "Gods' bloody fucking fist, it's like fishing a turtle out of its shell….." He strikes again at Tironos now, really putting his back into it.

The Mystery Knight turns, Kaspar's sword sliding off of his left pauldron without even leaving a mark. He keeps turning, and uses his momentum to strike a ringing blow at the Knight's helm. Except the Knight ducks, and the Valyrian steel cuts through his gorget to the neck. Blood from the Royce Knight splatters the armor of the Mystery Knight. He sidesteps Kaspar's wild blow easily, "Yield." The Knight with the monotone boy's voice says, "You'll do no good bleeding out."

<COMBAT> Riderch has changed weapons to Broadsword.

Tironos takes another rain of blows from three weapons, his armor is certainly well made as he says, "I'm a large target, better a shell then impalement." in a baritone reply to Riderch, without even looking at him as Tironos focuses on the drawn blood and tries to strike Rosana's leg, only to have the leather take the blow of the blunted blade.

The Vale knight, swings and his sword cuts through naught but air. The Mystery Knight's rejoinder leaves a third deep gash in his bronze cuirass. The Vale Knight's ancestral runs avail him naught. Blood wells up from this, the third wound and the knight falls to his knees. The runed broadsword falls from limp fingers. Blood pours from the wounds at his throat. Bertram and Ernarr run to the edge of the tourney field and set about pulling their knight and cousin across the boot torn field.

There might be a momentary lapse of cautious judgment here as Riderch slips his arm from his shield and lets it fall upon the ground. He squares his shoulders and grips his sword momentarily with both hands, swinging again and laughing at Tironos' particularly apt brand of wisdom.

<COMBAT> Maera will attack Malcolm this turn.

Malcolm mutters something that might be a very dirty word in the old tongue he recently picked up from the Starks and another in Braavosi. His sword just misses Ludvik's Helm as Ludvik slams him in the throat. Armor dented in multiple places and now gasping for breath, he falls to one knee. The old lady's favour trails in the dust.

The Mystery Knight salutes his fallen opponent, and turns to find another. And as fortune has it an opponent has just been freed up. He approaches said opponent, and salutes again before swinging his Valyrian steel sword at the man.

Malcolm is unable to speak, but bows his head in respect to the man who just beat him half senseless.

<COMBAT> Malcolm has left the combat.

Tironos takes another rain of blows from his two opponents, his breastplate getting a good workout, as the giant of a man suddenly shifts as he seems to take note of the discarded shield and focuses on Riderch's reduced defense… Hopefully.

Malcolm pages: -Actually, I'm doing a lot better physically, but I think better quit before beheaded.

The Mystery Knight lashes out with his Valyrian sword, and strikes the Lannister a blow to the hand. Luckily, his gauntlets save his fingers from being chopped through by the Valyrian steel. He leans back swiftly to avoid the Knight's sword swing.

"Oh, just /fuck/ this already." Riderch intones in petulant frustration as he continues to wail on the Tarly knight. Having slightly lighter armor is a tradeoff, and he changes his tactics — ever so slightly as he swings the blade with both hands in a wild arc.

At the edge of the field, squire and pages have stripped the knight's cuirass and helm. A Maester attends the bloody knight of Runestone. The aged greybeard applies a tourniquet to the knight's arm. Two acolytes with silver links press dressings against his throat and his chest to staunch the bleeding from the more grievous wounds.

Frowning as he gets hit to the hand, although the gauntlets holds it out, Ludvik lets out a bit of a howl as he slashes towards the Mystery Knight now, rather quickly.

Growling at that attack, Ludvik doesn't look to his bleeding arm now. Instead he moves forward a bit more boldly, attempting to slam the sword at his opponent's head.

The commons screams "Blood! Blood! Blood!" The Royal guards and Prince Maelys's second sons push the crowd back as a handful of toughs endeavor to push past the barriers at field's edge and rush the field to beat upon a few of the stricken nobles at the edge of the blood soaked field.

As another pair of swings between the well-armored Tarly and the black-armored Blackwood (one would assume less well-armored) are exchanged, Riderch hefts his sword again for yet another strike. "I think I know who won this melee, Ser." The Riverlander intones. "The smiths. “He cackles before striking once more.

It seems in full plate Tironos is as hard to hit as he is tall as he takes three more strikes, all to the chest this time as his own blade strikes Riderch's armored right arm to no benefit. This fight might prove very profitable to any betters in the crowd.

The Mystery Knight swings, misses, and receives a slap to the helm for his troubles. He falls back a step, his ears ringing from metal clanking on metal.

Elionys is here, honest, even if she was late in coming. Again. She now sits in the nobles’ box with a glass of wine in hand, watching.

Tironos takes a blow to the chest and right arm, the latter of which causes his own long sword to swing and a miss against Riderch. His cape has been removed due to the melee, though all the moving around some might notice the pale steel, iron, and black iron links attached to his armor around his arms and legs. Maybe he really did train as a Maester at some point, it would explain his lack of skill compared to some of the other combatants.

It would appear that Riderch is running out of pithy responses to give to Tironos, and there's a mixture of humor and cranky annoyance that drive him on now in this endless fight with the Tarly knight. Again his strike is fast, but again, it bounces off the man's armor. "I respect a man of skills, Ser." Is the only thing he does offer. He finally kicks at the man's knee, hoping to knock him off balance as his sword swings again.

Managing to avoid the incoming attack, Ludvik once more swings for the head of the Mystery Knight. Seems that his main goal at the moment would be to knock his opponent out, or something. Putting some weight into the attack now.

"How many Ironborn does it take to load a wagon?" Riderch's moved on to riddles now, as this question in mid-fight is posed to Tironos.

Tironos the steel giant continues to take triple strikes from his two opponents, still his armor ends up scratched by unbroken. Perhaps his betrothed's favor tucked into his breastplate over his heart is serving him better now than it did in the joust. Though seems love doesn't help his arm as he has yet to land a blow of his own since slashing Rosana's leathers. He does counter, "Depends, how many Ironborn will it hold?" with a good-natured tone.

The crowd screams, again. "Blood, blood, blood!" The Targaryen guards draw cudgels to beat back a mad begging brother and three of his fellows, when one of them moves to draw a knight, The Prince of Ashes's Dothraki Captain draws his arakh and guts the man. It looks as though the event may become a riot!

Taking one hit to his abdomen, Ludvik stumbles backwards a bit, before he moves forward once more, swinging forcefully at his opponent.
Seryna has arrived.

Tironos shows a surprising bit of agility for his side as he spins about trying to avoid blows while landing his own. His breastplate will need checking after the match for the number of blows it has taken, but as he spins around the edge of his shield ends up a bit higher than planned and strikes Rosana' in the side of the neck instead of the chest, sending her to the ground at least for a moment.

The Mystery Knight smashes his sword against his opponent's abdomen hard enough to leave nasty bruises. He deftly avoids being struck by Ludvik's next two strikes, but the cries of the crowd distract him, and his second swing misses.

<COMBAT> Rosana will attack Tironos this turn.

Another series of quick, two-handed swings. Riderch actually stops before the next one as he breathes, wincing a little as the Tarly knight takes another opponent down. He' trying to wear Tironos down, now. There's no other way. These men probably smell horrible inside that armor.
"I don't know — they're all too busy trying to ride the oxen." Oh come on, did you expect this joke to be good or tasteful?

<COMBAT> Tironos will attack Rosana this turn.

The commons scream as yet another warrior falls then rises again! Of the one hundred and fifty sellswords, hedge knights, noble lords, and freeriders who took the field, five remain! The Targaryen guardsman push and press against the screaming commons with spear hafts and cudgels. Beyond the guards, a handful of Prince Maelys's erstwhile Second Sons stand with swords and arakhs. The bloody body of the slain Begging brother is already crawling with flies. The mercenaries stand vigilant in the event that any within the commons attack one of the royal guards.

As the numbers start to thin in the melee, and Tironos is still facing two, and might be facing three soon, he focuses his efforts on Rosana as she is injured, to try and remove her from the fight, however he drops his guard enough to take two blows to his left side, which pass both his shield and armor.

If you do the same thing a hundred times with no effect, you might be a madman. Or you might be Riderch. Or you might be Riderch /and/ a madman, this has never been completely ruled out. The Riverlord actually breaks this trend, fighting with his sword with two hands having long since dropped his shield. Attack, riposte, and manages a series of particularly hard strikes on the Tarly Knight's arm and hand. Nothing that's shearing through the armor, but it's going to leave some unpleasant bruising.
Elionys pages: And hi.

There is a rending screeching noise as the Mystery Knight's sword cuts into Ludvik's breastplate, and dents the whole thing to hell. While it doesn't penetrate to draw blood it will certainly cause bruising.

Ludvik winces at that attack to his breastplate. Taking a few deep breaths, he grimaces as he steps back a little. "That will mean hard work for the armorers…" he remarks, before he moves forward in another attempt to attack now.

There is likely no Arryn contingent in the stands, with so few of them yet in the city, and so when the Lady Seryna slips in it is her Tyrell cousins she looks for, even if the blue and white of the Vale might stand out when she settles in with her family. Hazel eyes are pointed towards the melee, trying to make out the source of the cries of pain and the clash of steel against armor. It may be hard to tell who is winning from here, or even who is who for someone so new to Oldtown, but the young woman does appear to be trying. "Are we cheering for anyone in particular?" She asks…no one in particular.

<COMBAT> Tironos will attack Riderch this turn.
<COMBAT> Riderch has changed stance to normal.

Tironos tries to land another blow on Rosana, but misses as his breastplate takes another scratch and lost lacquer and his left arm is hit once more with a growl of pain, as Tironos turns to face Riderch and refocuses his attack.

Elionys' wide eyes are on the field as she watches, perched on the very edge of her seat the intensity as a whole is ratcheted up. "Ser Riderch," she states, having heard the question from Seryna, even if she wasn't the one being asked, exactly. "He's that one there," she gestures to the field, only now glancing aside at the Arryn Lady. "Have you met him before?" A pause. "We have not met before, have we?"
From afar, Elionys was totally planning on it. :D
Elionys pages: It gives her someone to chatterbox at, and hide behind should the masses turn. Noble meat shield and all.

The commons swill with curses and oaths. Pennies and groats pass between merchants, crofters, smiths. There is a brief swell near the battle between three of the five remaining champions; it abates only after several Second Sons take cudgels to the crowd.

Caelin stands at the edge of the crowd, slipping away quietly from the bloodshed and near rioting. "Cheer for the victor, my lady." He suggests quietly, passing by the Arryn. "And then pretend loyalty after the fact. People tend to find this the most expedient strategy, in my experience."

Garvin is not with any of the Tyrells in the stands, nor are any of the familiar Purple Cloaks near him. Instead, he stands alone with a cluster of smallfolk, a long cloak wrapped tightly shut around him, the hood drawn up to hide most of his features. It's not even a particularly nice cloak, rather shabby and moth-eaten. He isn't even guzzling from a goblet of wine or mead. Nor is he cheering for or against anyone in particular, remaining uncharacteristically silent. In short, one would need to make an effort to pick him out of the crowd today.

<COMBAT> Tironos will attack Riderch this turn.

Tironos shifts to a more regular stance for the first time in the match, and attempts to land a blow on Riderch, unlikely given the other is the superior swordsman, but something has to change. Repetition might help with learning some things, but it would appear to not be very useful in a melee. Course who doesn't know that? Fortunately for Tironos, Rosana is having no luck wounding the giant.

"No, my lady, I don't think so." Seryna answers Elionys after glancing up at her and dipping her head in a polite greeting. "I am Seryna Arryn. Sister to Lord Lorent. I've just come to the city with my husband and his brother, and have met very few…nor had much of a chance to catch up with my nieces and nephews. Why are we cheering for Ser Riderch?" She wonders but does not argue, though the advice about cheering for the victor is met with a smile as well. "Very wise." Caelin is given a curious glance and a tilt of her dark head to match it.

<COMBAT> Maera will attack Ludvik this turn.

Going to one knee after that hit, Ludvik is unable to hold back a bit of a chuckle as he slowly gets back to his feet. "I don't suppose you want to fight someone more challenging to you at the moment. That tall guy over there, for example?" A brief pause, before he adds, "No?" Moving forward to attack again now.

The big man is probably more resilient, hardy, and able to bear these blows than Riderch — however much faster the smaller Riverlander may seem. Having attracted Tironos' attention now, he shifts his weight on to his back foot, squaring his blade. He looks a little more winded than he did when this started. As Rosana continues to strike at the Tarly Knight as well, he tries to step out of her way. He'll deal with the others when this little fight of attrition ends. Hopefully.

<COMBAT> Ludvik will attack Maera this turn.

The commons roars, when the lion falls to the Mystery Knight's Valyrian steel bastard sword. For many of the smallfolk have love for the most affluent of Westeros's noble houses. When the Lion rises, his ascent is heralded by curses and cheers. There is no shortage of cheering for Ser Tironos Tarly who battles not one, but two foes and the Bear helmed knight, who has given the smallfolk no end of bloodletting.

Caelin doesn't have much more to say on the matter, it seems, offering Seryna and Elionys a slight bow. His attention seems to be on the fight however, leaning forward to follow the action with quiet intensity.

"Lovely to meet you, Lady Seryna," she replies, gaze turning from the field again to rest on the noblewoman a moment, flashing a smile as she does. "I'm Elionys Targaryen." Caelin gets a curious look, but soon her gaze returns to those that fight on the field. "Because I like Ser Riderch," she replies simply enough. "If you've not met him, you should. You'll understand why once you do," she assures Seryna confidently. "Do either of you have any idea who the unnamed knight is, this time? It was a woman yesterday, and she won, and then Ser Fulk knighted her. I'm not sure if it's a proper knighting or not, but it was interesting to watch."

"Not if you've plans to keep up." The Mystery Knight says in his boyish voice, "I plan on taking a Lannister ransom today." That said, the Mystery Knight rushes forward to deliver another blow.

Tironos is in bad shape and he knows it. Riderch finally caught a bit of luck as he starts landing blow after blow. Shifting back into a more wary stance Tironos says, "Well struck." likely meaning them all, as he shifts to target Rosana, perhaps not the wisest course, but if successful he can at least claim one major prize, and between yesterday and today, he might need all the stags and dragons he has for his own ransoms. Besides it would appear he can't land a blow on Riderch anyway as he remains without a drop of his own blood shed.

"Lovely to meet you as well, your Grace." Targaryens are easily enough recognized before introductions surely, but there is an extra intonation of respect in Seryna's voice either way with the last. "Perhaps after the brawl…or another day, as I imagine he and the others will wish to rest up properly, you might introduce me. I should like to understand I am sure." She does lean to watch Ser Riderch then with renewed curiosity, though there is a measure of the same for the Mystery Knight and the Tarly who seems to be fighting off two men. "I'm afraid I hardly know who the named knights are, much less those riding without banner or colors. I could not begin to guess. A /woman/ though. That /is/ shocking. And you say she was knighted? A woman knight…" It isn't clear what the Arryn woman makes of this as her voice trails off in favor of watching, but there is some kind of judgment in the tone, buried.

"Fair enough," Ludvik remarks, as dodges one attack, before getting hit hard in the chest, sending him flying to his back. "And so you shall…" he says, before he adds, "Well fought, Ser." Staying down for a few moments longer, to gather his strength enough to get off the field.

Another series of blows from Riderch, and his sword slams into Tironos' chest in a particularly fortuitous spot, where two plates overlap. The Tarly man's armor /is/ magnificent and the Riverlander actually takes a moment afterwards. He doesn't linger to actually see if his blow brought the man down for good, he'll be back to check on this situation later. Again, hopefully. The field is still full of opponents. A particularly /dangerous/ opponent is the unnamed Knight who just got the better of a Lannister. He cautiously lifts his blade and charges into the fray, leaving the battered fighters nearest to him with a battle cry. "For the Great Tree and the Ravens' Roost!" Well that was pompous.

<COMBAT> Riderch will spend luck on attack this turn.

The first Knight to fall to the Mystery Knight had fallen as a result of two rather grievous wounds. The second Knight will succumb to a numerous amount of cuts. He salutes the Lannister, "Well fought, indeed."

The Mystery Knight spins around to spot an approaching opponent. "Ser Riderch." The monotone voice, too high to be that of a fully grown man's, echoes in the unknown's helm. "I thought this would end with you and me." That said, the Mystery Knight lets out a fierce battle cry, and swings at the Riverlander.

<COMBAT> Maera will attack Riderch this turn.

Another knight falls, the commons seethes, violently, at the sight of noble blood. Words are exchanged between an officer of the watch and a Targaryen guardsman in a magnificent sable doublet. The officer of the watch rushes off the field. "Blood! Blood! Blood!" are the cries of the smallfolk. Some moments later, Kaspar Royce is carried from the field on a litter. His squire Burton Redfort and his page Ernarr Grafton follow their knight. The commons cheer for the Bear-helmed knight, Ser Riderch Blackwood, the obdurate Ser Tironos Tarly, and the pirate Rosana.

"I would be happy to," Elionys answers Seryna, glancing her way again before making an inviting motion, then gesturing to the seat beside her. "I only know some of the knights here, though very few that I know are participating in this. Still, it's good to see those I don't know, and gives me all the more reason to track them down and meet them afterward. Though I intend on inviting them all to the feast I'm going to hold after the tournament," she goes on, sounding cheerful at the prospect. It has been said that Riderch Blackwood is occasionally impulsive, and makes questionable decisions. What he does lack in good judgment (occasionally) he makes up for in spirit. Unfortunately, the Mystery Knight is no mean opponent. And maybe that voice caught him a bit off-guard. "I see your sword speaks for you. Whoever you are." And with that, he charges — and lands a solid blow on his opponent's abdomen. But that's met by an even more true strike by a very true piece of fabled steel, landing a fierce strike to his chest, beneath the plate of the brigandine and biting into the maile. He is knocked back, staggered, and momentarily stunned, coughing a terrible, wheezing gasp. But the man remains on his feet. That definitely hurt.

"Bugger the Huntsman with your steel!", "Pluck the Raven!", "Flay the whore!” this is naught but a smattering of the peasants' catcalls. A detail of Oldtown watchmen enter the grounds and join the royal guards. The crows pushes against their spears and cudgels. There is a roar as the heir to Raventree falls, and another as he rises."

Seryna takes the seat that Elionys offers, smoothing bright blue skirts and watching the melee with a bright gaze even as she and the other woman continue speaking. "I would appreciate it greatly. My husband is not much of a knight, though he's jousted fair enough in some tourneys. Not so much in the melee. My good-brother is fair skilled at both, but we've not been settled in long enough for him to have thought of entering. I don't know /what/ either would have said to lose to a woman though, it must have been shocking. Or to a woman knight. What do /you/ think of it, your Grace?" She cants her head towards the Targaryen, tucking a free lock of hair behind one ear and for the moment looking away from the field.

The Mystery Knight lets out an audible sound as Riderch's sword smashes into his abdomen, but returns the favor with a heavy-handed swing to the Riverlander's chest. There is a crunching sound at that strike as the Valyrian steel sword cuts through brigandine, and likely leaves a lovely pattern of mail on the chest. The Mystery Knight's voice is mockingly gentle this time, and sweet to the ears. Feminine. "Oh dear. Did I break your heart, Ser Riderch?"

Loryn Tyrell has been watching everything from the beginning. Honest. He's been sitting with a bunch of Tyrell hanger-ons until now, but makes his way now over to his auntie-dear whom he hasn't really seen since she arrived in Oldtown.

Arriving late to watch the melee is a group of three. A guard in the colors of house Blackmont escorts the Lady Zerina and her handmaiden. The group heads for the stands where nobles sit. Zerina breezes by with grace trying her very best to ignore any ugly looks she gets. She passes by Loryn as he moves seats inclining her head to him and offering a shy smile as she goes about her search for a good seat.

Ludvik shakes his head as he watches the fighting now, leaning forward on his sword again, spitting some blood to the ground. Keeping most of his attention on Rosana and Tironos at the moment, although he glances up into the stands too now, looking to see who it is that is there at the moment.

"Maybe he'll be able to join the lists in the next tournament," Elionys suggests absently, though it's cut off by a little gasp as Riderch is driven back by a blow to the chest. She exhales a small, relieved sigh as he remains in his feet. "Mm. The knighting? It was all very unconventional, but I'm curious about the woman in question, if I'm truthful. I don't know whether anyone will actually recognize the knighting, but no one can deny that she's very skilled after watching her yesterday." She pauses to glance as another person approaches the royal box, giving Loryn a curious look, and a brief, welcoming smile.

"Gods have to be bloody /kidding/ me." Riderch gasps, winded, wounded, and swinging aggressively as his eyes widen. His words are a painful wheeze. Aggression is his only real option here as the Mystery Knight has effectively whittled his defenses down — probably even more than the tiring fight with Tironos Tarly was. He takes another series of strikes in the chest from the Valyrian sword, one stronger than the other as he spits in pain. His own sword is gripped with both hands but he doesn't get a purchase on his opponent's armor.

Rosana is cut in several places, her armor torn and bleeding fairly heavily. More blood and the commons go wild! The press of the serfs nearly overwhelms the guards and mercenaries. The Royal Herald looks pale, as though he were about to collapse, but rights himself and whispers a word to his squire.

"I'm sure he'd like that. It /sounds/ quite unconventional. Did the men she bested seem impressed with her? Or irritated? I suppose it may have been hard to say under the circumstances." Seryna wonders, and nods lightly. "I'd be curious about her myself…about how she would come about such skills in the first place." She too winces to see Riderch hit, having started watching him for no other reason than Elionys' suggestion, but it seemed as good of one as any. The Mystery Knight captures a curious glance or two as well, but both lose her attention in favor of Loryn, who is given a bright smile. "Loryn! My just look at you, you've grown up!" She hardly seems old enough to be that kind of aunt, yet she rises from her seat to give the Tyrell a squeeze of the hand and looks as if she's fighting off the urge to hug him. At least she manages. "Mylady."

Zerina settles with her maid and guard at a seat not too far from the Tyrells. She looks out on the field curiously then blinks when she spots Rosana. "They let women fight in the Reach?" She asks her guard who just shrugs. Zerina studies Rosana's moves carefully and smiles faintly. "She is fierce and brave it seems." Caelin's dark eyes flick towards the Tyrell section, watching Loryn approach the nearby box. They linger on the young rose a moment, with a blank intensity, before settling back on the combat. "They appear to let anyone fight in Oldtown, my lady." He answers Zerina, sounding quite disapproving.

"I'm not sure," Elionys admits with a slight shake of her head. "One of them had to be tended to by the maesters, it should be interesting to see what comes of it later." Her curious gaze returns to Loryn as Seryna greets him, smiling at the younger Tyrell politely.

"Seven? I don't have enough bloody /gold/ to buy /those/ gods off." Well, it appears that the Old Gods aren't carrying Riderch to glory in this tournament. Or maybe they just favor someone else? (Hmmmm). "I defer to your knowledge. Ser." His voice is a wracked wheeze, but a laugh. All the same. This man will probably go laughing to his death, one day. He musters his effort for one final strike and then — it makes contact with the Mystery Knight's breastplate but is too week and not well-enough placed to stop his opponent. The same cannot be said for his foe's strike. Again, the Mystery Knight's sword hits him hard in the chest and he crumples to the ground, coughing fiercely and struggling for breath. "I think I'm done. /Ser. / I…" more coughing. "Yield."

Tironos trades blows with Rosana once more, to no avail. As Riderch goes down and the mystery knight closes, Tironos shifts to the more dangerous threat, leaving Rosana to fight as she wills. Though his luck isn't fairing any better yet.

"Perhaps we will find out. Have the chance to get to know her." If Seryna has an opinion besides curiosity she keeps it well enough hidden, just as she does her reaction to Loryn's cringing, though there's a flare of amusement maybe in those hazel eyes. "I do plan to stay, for some time. My husband and my good-brother have business here with Hightower relatives, and a desire to forge some political connections that could be useful to House Arryn. That and the Vale gets tiresome after a while, I could use the change of scenery."

Ludvik seems to have managed ending his spitting blood. Seeing the Mystery Knight go down to Rosana's attack, he is unable to hold back a brief cheer, although he holds back a bit, since it's a little too painful to do a full cheer at the moment.

The Mystery Knight salutes the Blackwood as he crumples, and yields. "You were a worthy opponent." That said, he turns to engage the lightly armored double-wielding woman attacking the big tin can of a man. He overestimates. After all, he's done well enough to over-estimate, hasn't he? Still, the woman with two swords evades the Mystery Knight's strike, and manages to land a wound to the abdomen that brings the unknown to his knees. He groans, and rises shakily.

"Well that was fun…" She grins bloody and beaten and looking far too happy about it. "You know I always wanted to fight a knight…next time I've wearing better armor though."

Tironos does his best to get past the mystery knight's armor, to no avail even as Rosana goes down nearby. Likely the only chance he had of collecting a ransom, but what can you do. Then he takes a good blow to not only his armor but himself. Yep he's going to need to do some repairs later.

The Mystery Knight salutes Rosana, making the woman with two swords the FOURTH opponent he has taken out of the melee. Mystery Knight is on fire! He rounds on his other opponent, the big man in the plate, and bashes Valyrian steel against his helm.

"Oh, I intend to, my cousin is trying to enlist her services," Elionys remarks with some very real cheer, though it dims somewhat as Riderch crumples. She leans forward, waiting to make sure that he's not too injured before going on. "I've heard about the Vale, but I've never been. I should like to visit one day," she says, sounding a touch wistful. "I should like to visit a lot of places." She glances aside at Loryn again, curious. "It is beautiful here, yes. I haven't seen as much of the Reach as I should like either, but what I've seen has been quite impressive."

Zerina looks to Caelin and she smiles softly a bit shy but still friendly. "It does seem so yes. Though she lasted longer than one might think she would." She winces as Rosana goes down before she looks to Caelin curiously now. "And who might you be my Lord?" She studies him a moment glancing back to the field briefly as the final two start the battle for the prize.

Unable to hold back a chuckle as he hears Rosana's words, Ludvik nods a bit now. "Well fought too, although I only saw the happenings after I was knocked out by the same opponent as you." A brief pause, before he adds, "The armorer will be a bit angry at the work with my armor, I believe."

Tironos takes another blow, thankfully lighter to the chest, unfortunately it does cut through his betroth's favor as well as its only cloth and over his heart. It’s clear despite his durability Tironos won't last much longer though. Not unless he can get extremely lucky.

Rosana smiles faintly at Ludvik wincing a bit at her injuries. "Thank you Ser Ludvik…you did well yourself." Rosana laughs at the comment about armor looking down at her torn leather chest piece. The sleeves are in tatters and the front isn't much better. "These will need to be replaced I think….I never knew why one would choose to wears such heavy armor…now I know why. It may be slow but if you get hit it protects you better. I still prefer not getting hit though but as you see that doesn't always work." She smirks weakly

There is a shriek as the Valyrian steel sword of the Mystery Knight smacks the Tarly's chest. Unsatisfied with the results, namely that his opponent is still standing, the unknown lets out a fierce cry, and rushes the huge man.

Caelin nods crisply, "Yes, she was a competent fighter. This does not make it any more appropriate to defy the roles the gods have set for us." He inclines his head, attention fully turned from the melee now, which is, to his perspective, over. "Forgive me, my lady. Ser Caelin Florent of Brightwater Keep." He bows. Some might remember that the man was a bit of a celebrity in the tourney circuit himself, four or five years ago.

Tironos watches the charging mystery knight and takes a wide swing with his long sword held with one hand, he finally manages to land a blow, however so does the sharper steel as the steel giant goes down with a crash of metal on earth.

"Quite true," Ludvik replies to Rosana, before he chuckles a little now, wincing a little as he does. "So, how bad did you get wounded?" he asks, after a few moments. "Watching the rest of the fighting with one eye, as he studies Rosana for a few moments with the other. “Thought he'd make the earth shake a bit more as he fell," he remarks, lightly.

Time does pass and eventually the battered (and wounded) Riderch Blackwood is brought to his feet. Probably with a little help. There's going to be no wearing /this/ armor for a bit. It takes him a few tries to do it, too.

"You are correct in that Ser Caelin. She may be a good fighter but it still isn't proper. The gods wishes must be honored and respected after all." Zerina replies with a nod and faint quirk of her lips. She drops into a graceful curtsey for him a warm smile on her face now. "I am Lady Zerina Blackmont and it is a pleasure to meet you." She looks a bit hesitant as she introduces herself apparently knowing full well how she might be regarded by him just for being from Dorne.

The Mystery Knight raises his sword high in the air, and brings it down on the giant Tarly's arm. There is a horrific shriek as armor is rent, and blood is drawn. It is a nasty wound. The unknown doesn't seem to notice the sword bash to his head, despite the ferocity of it. His opponent falls, and he is left on the field alone, his breath heavy in his helm as the sting of the blow to his head finally registers. He is still for several moments. And then the Mystery Knight turns to face the crowd, and takes off his helm. Long brown braids, two of them, fall out of the helm to surround a face that is damp with sweat, and decidedly feminine. Lady Maera Mormont. She cries out to the crowd, "I have had Knights refuse to battle me in the past because of my sex! Let it be known that I am more fierce than any man here. See my fallen foes and hear my roar! The next man who refuses battle with me shall surely be marked a coward and a craven!"

"The Vale is lovely in its way. Treacherous to travel to. I was married in the Eyrie…the views alone are worth the trip according to some." Seryna answers Elionys gently, watching those who must depart the fray before turning back to her conversation. "Cold though, even in the summers, and that alone is enough to make me miss the Reach." Here she agrees with Loryn with a soft smile. The words that Caelin exchanges with the woman nearby him might meet with her approval, she nods towards him even silently, though not for very long. Soon her attention is captured again by the yard, by the Mystery Knight revealing herself as the fiercest of all of them, and that smile is pressed into a thin, thoughtful line.

Rosana raises a brow at Ludvik. "I'll live…the armor got the worst of it." It’s clear though that this isn't the case her arms are badly cut and she has two fairly deep gashes across her chest. There is pain in her eyes but she seems to be fighting against showing just how much she is hurting. "What about you?" She tries to redirect him from her with a looks of curiosity touched with a bit of concern.

"You haven't?” Loryn asks the Targaryen girl, "If you wish to see more of the Reach, feel free to claim my services, Mylady. I'd be happy to show you around and right now I have some spare time until rehearsals start. Then I will be very busy learning my lines and moves." And dodging his brother. "Yea, it's why I left my knight. Or rather, one of the reasons. The miserable cold up there.” he adds for his aunt's benefit, "I'd rather fall off the Eyrie then live there for the rest of my life…"

Garvin remains lost in the crowd, eagerly waiting to see the mystery knight's identity revealed. So eager, in fact, that he forgets he's 'incognito', tipping his head back and leaning forward, so that sunlight chases some of the shadows into the recesses of his hood, illuminating a goodly portion of his face. "I knew it!" he shouts when Maera removes her helm and cries her boast to the crowd.

"Well," Another round of coughing as the hobbling knight moves to retrieve his discarded shield, however slow and ungainly his moments are. It's definitely sad to watch. "Fuck." Riderch's mouth just hangs open now after the last cough. "I suppose this is what I /get/." There's a certain poetry to all this, given his man rounds of laughter at the expense of all the knights that Saskia bested yesterday. He shakes his head, bemused.

As Maera is revealed to be a woman Rosana's head shoots up and she calls out. "Well fought Lady! You are truly more than a worthy opponent for any man to face!" She grins broadly but then she sways slightly dizzy from blood loss.

Caelin offers a slight smile. "The pleasure is all mine, Lady Zerina." The smile disappears as Maera reveals herself, a soft sigh escaping the Black Fox's lips as he shakes his head. "This is truly a godless city."

Zerina's cheeks color a little and her smile for Caelin is warm. Of course then Maera is revealed and the Dorne lady looks at the woman with wide eyes filled with surprise and shock. She glances to Caelin once more getting her surprised expression under control and sighs softly. "It certainly seems to Lord Caelin. A true pity." She looks sad for a moment now.

"Well done, Lady…" Ludvik remarks, before he looks back to Rosana. "I've felt better, to be honest," he remarks, before he is unable to hold back a chuckle. "I don't think I'll go dancing soon, though…" As he sees her starting to sway, he reaches out one hand to steady her, while still keeping his balance mostly with the help of the sword next to him.

The giant is still down for the time being, as extra men are brought in to carry him to his tent for treatment, not only is her tall he's also extra heavy with full plate.

"I haven't," Elionys confirms to Loryn, smiling as the offer is given. "I will keep that in mind…" she pauses a moment. “Lord Loryn?" That was the name Seryna used, right? She hopes. Either way, she uses it, then looks back to the Arryn woman beside her. "I've heard about the views there, and the cold, and the climbs you must endure to get to the Eyrie." Her gaze returns to the yard again, brows furrowing slightly as she remarks, "Another woman," almost sounding amused. "We have some fierce women here."

Rosana looks to Ludvik in surprise as he steadies her. She looks torn and for a moment she looks both angry and pleased. Finally being grateful for not falling over outweighs her pride. She studies him a long moment before finally managing two softly spoke words. "Thank you." She takes a slow breath before she speak in a more normal tone. "I'm not a very good dancer myself but I'm sure you will recover enough to dance soon enough." She smiles faintly.

The Commons roar as the knight of House Tarly falls to the Mystery Knight. The mob swells and is quieted only by the force of the watches' cudgels. The herald's voice booms across the crowd. "For the Dragons' Melee, the Island Knight!" From a black teak litter at the edge of the tourney field, the Prince's Dothraki captain and three of their fellows draw a large chest set with poles. They carry if before the royal box. The Herald descends and draws two purses. Then, both of these fall from his hands as he stares at the maid. He mouths words, but he seems to have lost his voice. The Dothraki Bloodrider snorts. He looks upon what remains of the one hundred and forty nine knights, sellswords, squires, and freeriders who lie bloodied and broken upon the field; indeed, many of them have left for their pavilions beside the Honeywine. He snorts, once more, and utters several words in Dothraki, then directs a look, more a leer, to the maid.

At last, the Herald speaks to his squire, there is some muttering and look to the crimson and sable pavilion that has stood, like a shadow, at the edge of the melee and tourney. The Herald nods to the boy, but seems none too pleased. He takes the two heavy sackcloth sacks and tenders these to Sir Tironos Tarly. "To Ser Tironos, the sum of two hundred and fifty dragons!"

Each of the sacks is heavy with foreign gold. Each of the coins is of dragon weight, or heavier. They bear the stamps of Braavos, Pentos, Lys, and stranger locales from across the Jade Sea.

Riderch Blackwood's big squire is afield now, helping the staggered man along to his own pavilion. Along the way, he glances at the spectators and shooting the stands with a weak version of his signature goofy, off-kilter grin. The Raven is wounded but will live to fly another day. As he passes by though, he manages a weak salute to Maera. And a sputter of laughter. It doesn't appear to be mocking. At least no mocking /her/. Tironos as well. If he's spotted.

A smile reappears on Caelin's face. "Forgive me, Lady Zerina, I am sure it has its charms. But I can see now why life in Oldtown has led my own brother astray. Duty and responsibility seem to be quaint and cumbersome notions to some." He watches the roar of the crowd, the celebration as the prizes are distributed.

Ludvik smiles as he sees Rosana's reaction, offering her a quiet nod, before he whispers something to her. He then chuckles at the mention of him recovering enough to dance soon enough. "Thanks for the words of confidence." Keeping his hand on her shoulder, should she let him.

Next, the Herald directs a disdainful look to the Lady of Bear Island, the mannish woman who has defeated knights of Lannister, Tarly, and Royce, among others. "To Lady Maera of Bear Island, the Prince awards this sword!" The blade is a marvel to behold. Wrapped in sable cloth adorned with cloth of gold torrents and lightnings. The scabbard is black leather, softer than sin, with gold work at the upper and lowermost edges. The blade's hilt, guard, and pommel are wrought from gold. Clutched in a dragon's claw pommel a ruby, the size of a man's largest toe. This is the most prodigious, albeit not the only jewel set within the sword. There are more rubies, emeralds, and sapphires darker than a moonless night set within the hilt and guard. The sword is easily worth five hundred dragons, or half the joust purse.

Zerina looks curious now. Her head tilts slightly and she smiles softly at Caelin. "We are all subject to temptation at times. How we handle is not only a test of our character but an opportunity to grow as well. Duty and family are very important to me…I could not imagine deliberately disappointing or disgracing my own brothers. Perhaps your own brother just needs to be shown the importance of family?" She blushes a bit. "Forgive me Lord Caelin…I fear my tongue as run away without me." She lowers her eyes a bit shyly now.

Garvin takes a quick look around his immediate surroundings and decides it might be safe to slip away quietly, avoiding the rush when the main event has ended. Pulling the hood down over his face again and wrapping himself more tightly in the cloak, he begins elbowing his way past the gawkers eager for a look at the first place prize, making his way out of the tourney grounds and toward the Blackcrown gate to the city.

Loryn actually claps when the Mormont woman is revealed, looking rather cheerful. "She's a northern gal alright. They got some bites, the northerners.” he adds admiringly, then, realizing that the Targaryen apparently isn't sure about his name, adds: "Yes, Lord Loryn Tyrell, at your service. You can find me at Garden Isle or of course at the Whimsy.” he winks. He whistles softly when the sword is awarded to the winner, grinning at Elionys. "Your family's pretty damn generous, my lady." Then he gets to his feet, as the tourney is breaking up, leaning in to kiss his aunt on the cheek. "We must catch up properly soon.” he tells her quickly, "But I should be on my way now…"

Maera gives the Herald a stony stare as he levels a look of distain at her. The Lady of Bear Island takes the prize pouch from him wordlessly, but it is the sword that draws her attention. "Lovely." She murmurs to herself as she unsheathes the blade to gaze down at it. Then it is sheathed, and hung from her belt along with the Valyrian sword Longclaw. With little fanfare she walks off the field to follow the limping Riderch. "Ser Riderch!" She calls out.

"It is cold there yes. A chill I will have to get used to, save the occasional trips back for things like this." Seryna nods to Loryn and Elionys both. "A southern match might have suited me better as far as climate is concerned, but there are more things to consider when one plans out a life I suppose." She tilts her head again to Elionys, listening to her words as she watches the purses awarded, and the stunning sword given to the Lady of Bear Island. "So there are…" There is admiration in that golden-green gaze, even if it is just for the jewels and not the blade itself. "But there is more than one way I think for a lady to be fierce." Loryn's kiss on the cheek is returned with a smile. "Enjoy your day, dear nephew. We will catch up properly soon indeed!"

Whatever Ludvik says has Rosana's cheeks coloring just a bit. The pirate captain is blushing? She smiles at the knight and allows the hand to remain on her shoulder. She actually leans a bit closer to him as she watches the prizes being given out. "I came close…but I fell short all the same. Still it was one of the best fights I've had the pleasure of joining in. You owe me a sparring session when we both recover since I didn't get to face you on the field." She grins at him playfully now.

"Why don't we just give that woman all the swords here and just turn her loose on the other side of the Wall? The Night's Watch can just fucking retire." Riderch laughs to his large squire, the big bald man supporting the Lordling of Blackwood with an arm on his shoulder. "Easy, Tel. Easy." he implores his sworn man to slow down. The grin has not abated though. He does stop when called upon by said woman. "Congratulations on terrifying or shaming half of the city today, Milady!" He begins. Again — he seems more bemused by this than anything else. And if he's sour over his loss, he's careful not to challenge her /too/ much. She did just knock him on his arse, after all. "I should have known."

"Elionys," is offered to Loryn after the introduction is made, not adding her surname to it, as it is both obvious, and he's already stated he knows that answer anyway. "We can be, my lord," is the answer of generosity, smiling. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Lord Loryn, and I-… well, I may come by Garden Isle again soon anyway, I intend on visiting Princess Mariya again during her stay. Perhaps I will see you there as well. Do have a good day." She looks then to Seryna, nodding. "It's true, there are different ways for a woman to be fierce. This is just a very good example of one of those ways."

Caelin inclines his head to Zerina, "Not at all, my lady. You speak well and truly." He offers a slight smile, and then a bow. "And I hope to speak with you again."

Ludvik chuckles as he hears Rosana's words. "At least you came far closer than many of us," he offers, before he nods a little as he hears that last part. "It would be my pleasure to offer you that spar."

Zerina looks up once more her smile for Caelin bright at his words to her. She blushes just a little bit and offers a curtsey to his bow. "I would very much like to speak with you again sometime Lord Caelin. I look forward to it." She makes a simple gesture with her hand to her guard and maid and then offers a soft parting smile to Caelin. "I should return to the manse. Until we meet again my lord." And then the Dorne lady turns to start heading through the crowds with her guard and maid following her.

"I've fought with the Night's Watch, Ser Riderch. My Uncle is a member, and in the North the women of Bear Island are admired of their ferocity in battle." Maera says this loud enough for anyone passing to hear, and the message is clear; the ways of the Reach are inferior to the ways of the North. "Thank you, Ser Riderch. I actually mean to forgive your ransom in exchange for a favor."

"That it is. She's brave on a number of levels." Seryna admits softly after watching her nephew depart. The beginning of the exchange between the winner of the melee and the other knight is observed with gentle curiosity, but only that, for soon she is rising to her feet with a rustle of blue silk and another dip to her head in the Targaryen princess' direction. "It was a pleasure to sit with you and have your company during this. I should return to the Arryn manse, I've duties to tend to, and my husband may miss me. I shall hope to visit with you again soon though after all, it would be a delight." With that she too starts to snake through the crowd before it becomes impossible.

Caelin offers a second bow, and watches Zerina depart, turning himself and frowning as he passes by the exultant champion on his way out.

Rosana smirks. "Pleasure? We will see about that." She looks positively mischievous now. She tries to stand up getting ready to leave. A few of her crew come over to support her and soon the captain is being led away by her men. She turns her head and gives Ludvik a smile and a little wave before she vanishes into the crowd with her crew.
