Sitting in the cake house at a table with septa, maid, and guard is Alaura, the Flower Lord's first born daughter sits with a plate of assorted cakes in front of her and a flagon of wine as well. The maid and the Lady are speaking softly, as the septa snoozes and the Gaurd keeps his eyes open and watches the people passing by the young Lady.

Haydn greets Alaura's guard with a nod and friendly enough smile. "Everything been alright lately?" He asks the guard, warrior to warrior. When one of the serving girls realizes there's a Lannister present as well as a Tyrell she lays the hostess hospitality on thick and beams brightly and quickly sets Ser Haydn a spot at the Tyrell's table as he seem moments away from joining them. She does spare a girlish moment towards Alaura that is all 'lucky devil' without the words and is meant in a completely friendly manner. Haydn does peek over the Guards shoulder to try and find his betrothed's eyes and give her an adoring smile. This isn't his usual sort of place, but the things one does for love.

Alaura lifts her eyes away from her maid to Haydn and smiles warmly, "Well enough now that my dear betrothed has come to see me." She motions to the cakes, "Would you care for some? Or some Arbor gold?" She motions to the flagon. Her eyes to to the hostess and gives a little bit of a smile before turning her attention back to Haydn, "You weren't at the trial were you?"

Haydn shakes his head as he settles down beside Aluara. A simple trio of wild flowers is placed down on the table beside her plate. "I was out hunting. I was strictly instructed to keep myself out of all of this. My father never enjoys feeling like people expect his support if I even go to an event. Let alone something with such political ramifications. I'm to focus on convincing my brother the Chain is not what he truly wants, without letting him realize I'm doing just that. Did you attend? I'm not even quite sure the goings on of it all."

Alaura shakes her head and says, "No, I do not enjoy bloodsport, I'm fine for a nice tourney where the weapons are blunted but.. to actually watch someone try to kill another? I hear Lord Osric was killed." She closes her eyes, "May the Stranger carry his soul home."

Haydn sighs and sweeps up the wine that is just set down before him. "To Lord Osric, he died with honor. May it not have been in vain." He takes a drink after the toast and then looks to her. "Let's speak on other matters. Which cake should I sample Lady Lily?" He looks to the little cakes on the platters on their table. "Have you heard anything from your family yet?"

Alaura looks over the cakes a moment and pushes foward a bit of lemon cake, "These are quite lovely and so are the cherry ones, but the lemons are my favorite, they are more sweet then tart." She smiles warmly and says, "As from hearing from my family, "No I haven't been around much to let them talk to me, Garvin is out doing.. what Garvin does.."

Haydn looks slightly uncomfortable at mention of Garvin doing what he does, but he smiles as he lifts up the lemon cake and takes a bite. The draining mood is lifted along with his eyebrows as he takes his first taste. "This is really good. Thank you darling. Well I suppose that now is a good time to discuss what you want for the wedding. I've arranged for that wedding surprise from around the world. Red and Gold, Green and Gold and then I opened up the order for what ever colors they can find."

Alaura gives a chuckle at his uncomfortableness and says, "Surprise? I love surprises, and we'll have to have the most beautiful flowers from around the Reach at our wedding, as for colors.." She pauses and says, "I am already sewing your cloak, for when we have to exchange them. It is looking lovely, green velvet, with a beautiful embossed flower in thread of gold." She smiles warmily, "I hope you'll like it."

Haydn makes to lift up her hand in a gentle grip to kiss the back of her hand while looking up her arm into her eyes. "I knew I was going to ask for your hand when I saw you creating your personal sigil and you told me the story about it. So I am certain that I am going to cherish the cloak." After he's taken another bite and drink. "Any thoughts as to when you would like to be draped in crimson and gold?"

Alaura smiles and says, "How about at the end of May, do you think you can wait that long Ser?" She smiles warmly and says, "Will your family be there?" She reaches for one of the cherry cakes and delicately takes it apart, "I do so hope crimson will go with my complexion."

Haydn is still working on that lemon cake. Taking his time to take small bites. "The end of May." He looks a little surprised that she wants it to be so soon. "This May?" He gives her a teasing little smile. "I suppose you've changed your mind on a long betrothal." Her hand is stolen for another kiss. But when the Septa stirs he lowers both of their hands to be hidden under the table. "Burlap would go with your complexion. You are stunning Lady Lily."

Alaura blushes and says, "We can still do the long engagement if you wish, it will take people a few months to get here from Highgarden and from Casterly Rock yes?" She looks to the Septa and then back to Haydn, "Well I trust Ser Lion that you'll have more coin to dress me in something a little more flattering then burlap."

Haydn, the young man that has enough money to have a gardening sword just smirks a little bit. "Birds aren't the only thing that is getting imported from the far edges of the world. It might come in burlap at first. But if I have my way, you'll never have to even touch burlap again." Her hand is caressed under the table. "You can wear my cloak whenever you would like. There is plenty of time for celebration when everyone can arrive. Permission has been given, what ever my Lady wants. She will have if I can help it and this is simple to achieve."

Alaura laughs and says softly, "It was a joke.." She looks to Haydn and says, "Besides, it's not your gold that makes my parents wish for us to marry. I would have likely been betrothed to one of your cousins again."

Haydn wipes his mouth after he's finally finished his lemon cake. "No? What is it that made them wish for us to marry then? I suppose they are happy with the arrangement, lesser son of the Lord Paramount must be a step up from one of my cousins." It almost sounds like he's disappointed in her parents for wasting thier beautiful daughter on some vague branch of his family.

Alaura nods her head and says softly, "Indeed, but when Dramon died in a hunting accident, it left me free, and had I not met you here.. I am sure they would have found someone else.. perhaps another man I've never met to wed me to."

Haydn runs his thumb over her palm in a light way. "With them sending you here I'm sure they imagined that you would catch a Lord's eye. However I'm sure they never would have imagined that you would have caught the Lord of the Westerland's son's eye nearly the minute you arrived." He grins to her and then takes another cake. "I know I had very little intention of finding a wife. To be quite honest, I leapt at the oppertunity to come here to avoid my parent's arranging anything. But then there you were. My Lady Lily." He lifts his hands up in a surrender with a big grin that says 'and that was that!'.

Alaura gives a chuckle and says playfully, "I am sorry Ser Lion, it wasn't my intention." She gives a smile and finishes off the little bit of wine in her wine glass and says, "I should be going though it is getting late and I'd not wish my brother to worry." She smiles warmly and rises, "We should sit down a little more and talk on when we will be wed, perhaps end of may, or june, or july, depending on when people will be able to get here."

Haydn begins to rise and uses their entertwined hands to help her rise as well. "Or tonight." He inserts with a smile that really makes it hard to tell if he is joking or not. "But yes my Lily, we can get together soon. I shall miss you. Send word to your parents. I don't wish to haggard them. I am sure they are quite busy with all of this tension with the Dornish. You are well worth waiting for." He bows and brings her hand up to kiss her knuckles. "Be well my Lady. If there is anything you need from me don't hesitate a moment."

Alaura smiles and says softly, "I will send a raven as soon as I return to the Insula." She smiles warmly, blushing slightly as he kisses her hand and says, "Be well my betrothed."
